Owens Corning and Pro Roofing NW can make this a fun and positive experience for you. Look at this as an opportunity. This is your chance to choose a roof that not only has outstanding performance, but also has exceptional beauty. Both the product and HOW that product is installed will make all the difference. This is the opportunity to transform the look of your entire home.

Duration Series:
In 2006 Owens Corning invented a breakthrough in roofing. Owens Corning then applied this technological advancement to a new line of shingles called the Duration Series. Some of the revolutionary innovations to this shingle are:

*Wider and stronger nailing area: This is extremely significant because as roofers install shingles there are weather windows in Northwest Washington, and speed is important. Accuracy, consistency, and quality are also paramount so a wide nailing strip is very helpful to achieve speed and accuracy. The nailing strip also is reinforced with a special fabric to ensure strength and durability making it nearly impossible for nails to tear through the nailing strip.

*Extra adhesive power: As shingles are constructed layers are glued or laminated together. The ability of these shingles to stay together under stress is one aspect of a good shingle. Specially formulate, extra-wide adhesive bands help keep the shingle layers laminated together in virtually all weather conditions. Even in hurricane force winds!

*Super sealing action: When a shingle is applied over another shingle the top or upper shingle must adhere to the bottom shingle. Heavy winds can often catch the lip of the top shingle causing it to bend up. When this happens the shingle will eventually tear off causing failure. Owens Corning Tru-Bond sealant grips to the nailing strip on the shingle below for greater bonding strength. The Tru-bond sealant also is set lower or closer to the bottom than traditional shingles reducing the opportunity wind has of “getting under” the edge of the shingles. Both the Duration and the Duration Premium shingles with SureNail Technology are rated for 130 MPH winds!

*Duration Shingles with SureNail Technology have a bold dimensional look with tested and impressive durability. These beautiful shingles are designed for long-lasting performance. They have a Lifetime Warranty, 130 MPH Wind Resistance, and the Algae Resistance Warranty.

The colors available for the TruDefinition Duration are: Desert Tan, Brownwood, Teak, Driftwood, Onyx Black, Estate Gray, Quarry Gray, Sierra Gray, Shasta White (***Energy Star), Harbor Blue, and Chateau Green.  Amber and Terra Cotta are special order colors.

The colors available for the TruDefinition Duration Designer Collection are: Aged Copper, Merlot, Pacific Wave, Sand Dune, Sedona Canyon, Storm Cloud, and Summer Harvest.

**Similar to the energy-efficient appliances in your home, roofing products can provide energy-saving qualities. Owens Corning Duration Series roofing shingles in Shasta White can help reduce your energy Bills when installed properly. These shingles reflect solar energy, decreasing the amount of heat transferred to a home’s interior- the amount of air conditioning needed to keep it comfortable. Actual savings will vary based on geographic location and individual building characteristics.
